In 2022, Lancaster University and Blackpool Council brought together a unique task force of industry, policy and technical expertise in the Blackpool Innovation Catalyst, funded by UK Government.
The task force has adopted an ambitious aim: create truly sustainable large scale digital infrastructure in the Blackpool region, under the heading: Blackpool, the future of ethically powered data.
Now local and national business, investors and researchers are joining Blackpool and Lancaster University in the Fibre Blackpool Cooperative Alliance.
